Art: Bangladeshi Ricksha Painting 1
This is not my first rickshaw painting, but it is definitely the largest I have done. The view is from the back of the rickshaw which happens to be the most colorful part of the Bangladeshi cycle rickshaw. Towards the bottom, between the two rubber wheels is this rectangular piece of tin which displays hand painted movie posters, as I have done in the painting. Other times there are beautiful landscapes, buildings or other cultural icons. The rickshaws are all handmade and almost all of them come in such bright vibrant colors till weather takes a toll on them. I received so much love and support on this painting which I did not anticipate. It is currently residing with its owner in Dallas who happens to be a dear friend.
