Food: oatmeal choc chip grape nut cookies

I have a confession. I never preheat my oven! Okay so this is what I do - instead of preheating, I turn the oven to 350 C and set the timer to 20 mins. So when there is 12 mins left on the timer and the oven is heated to 350 - thats when I place my cookies in. Get it?
Now lets start mixing. You need one stick of butter at room temperature so that you can beat it till its fluffy.

I don't have those fancy beaters or mixers. So I do it the old fashioned way. Mix 1 cup of brown sugar along with 3/4 cup of regular sugar and a pinch of salt with the butter.
Now add 2 eggs to the mix - one at a time.

Sift together 1 1/2 cup of flour, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder, 1/4 tsp of clove powder, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg powder, and 1 tsp of baking soda.
Mix in half of the sifted flour with the butter mixture. Once it is incorporated well, mix in the other half.
Now its time to fold in 1 cup of rolled oats, 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, and 1/2 cup of grape nut. Not only is grape nut very healthy for you, but I accidentally bought a box too big!
Take a teaspoon and drop little balls of the dough on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 10 to 12 mins. Take it out once its done and let it cool down. Then store in your cookie jar and indulge!
